You can easily narrow or widen the number of records found by using the radio buttons.
Typing in upper case, or using italics and apostrophes will not alter the number of found records.
Some Latin and Non-Latin letters can be entered via the provided character map, or by using your operating system's specific keystrokes, otherwise search using the keyword search method.
Additional instructions
Italics are used for: titles of books, journals and newspapers e.g. Jewish War
names for prayers e.g. Kaddish
rabbinic tractates e.g. Berakhot.
Names of rabbis do not carry the epithet ‘rabbi’ e.g. Joḥanan ben Zakkai.
Acronyms are listed as well as the full names e.g. Ramban (Rabbi Moses ben Nahman).
Designations are set between quotation marks e.g. 'Suffering Servant'.
Biblical books are listed under the heading Book of Jeremiah in order to avoid confusion with the prophet Jeremiah, who is listed under Jeremiah.
